Horse Collection

In the 1950's our mother suggested that my sister and I began collecting something. I chose horses and Carolyn chose dogs. After I married and moved away, my collection remained behind at my parents' house. In time, Mom packed it away. I didn't see it again until after Mom's death a few years ago. Carolyn found the collection in a box in the basement. I was thrilled to see it had survived the years. Three of the larger horses now occupy a place on our mantle in the family room. They're a sweet reminder of my childhood.
Susan J. and Ashley, I'm sure the photo will bring back memories to you, too.

Dear Friends and Family,

Since blogging seems to be one of America's favorite pastimes, I decided I'd jump on board. After all, I can't let this "60-something" body get passed by with the latest trends!

The purpose for this site is to enable me to share thoughts, memories, photos, etc. with you since I don't see you often. I look forward to hearing from you. Just click on "comment" at the end of each post and leave a message. If you subscribe, you'll be notified when I've posted something new.

Many of you know of my love for horses. In my opinion, they are the most beautiful of God's creatures. I was thrilled to find this lovely photo of horses for this site. We live in "horse country" and it's a joy to see horses almost daily. The paint horses are especially pretty. At some point, I'll tell you about my porcelain horse collection from my childhood.

Happy trails to you,

Jane/Mom/Mimi
